The Ultimate Block Party
Thank you!
More than 50,000 people helped us celebrate the Arts and Sciences of Play at the Ultimate Block Party!
CMOM's Brain at Play was featured at this FREE family event in Central Park on October 3, 2010
Children’s Museum of Manhattan asked the question: How does play make the
brain hum with activity?
Thousands of children and grownups drew on our seven-foot, interactive,
three-dimensional sculptural "brain" that highlighted the connection between
play, creativity and healthy brain development. Chaser lights flashed and
portals strategically placed throughout the sculpture inspired children to
send "play messages" written on blocks and pieces of colored paper into the
large brain, creating a documentation of thousands of children's favorite
play activities.
