Birthday Party Policies

  • Reservations require a deposit of $250.

  • Each additional child after the 12th child is $18 (after the 10th child for the You’re so Big! You’re One party).

  • Additional party leaders, at a cost of $85 each, are required for the 15th, 20th, 25th and 30th child.

  • Kosher cake and pizza are available at no additional cost.

  • Cancellation Policy: Once you have confirmed the date with a $250 deposit, your party is booked. One hundred dollars ($100) will be deducted from your deposit for any cancellation after this point. Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations within a month of the booked party.

  • Change Date Policy: Once you have confirmed the date with a $250 deposit, your party is booked. One hundred dollars ($100) will be deducted from your deposit if you change your party date. Deposits are non-refundable for a change of date within a month of the booked party. A new date will require an additional $250 deposit.

  • Snow Storm Cancellation Policy: If, due to a snow storm on or around the date of your reserved party, you feel the need to cancel your party, CMOM reserves the right to withhold any deposit if CMOM is officially open for admission on the day of the scheduled party. In the event CMOM is officially closed, we will return your deposit or reschedule your party for a later date.

  • Any child one-year-old or over is counted as part of the party package.

  • Any child nine years or older is not counted in the party package. However, if you would like to include the child in the party festivities, we would set up a chair for him/her at the children’s table. If this is done, he/she would be counted within the party package.

  • Food and beverages are not included for adults. However, you may order extra pizzas ($12 for a cheese pie, $14 for a topping) through the Events Manager. You may also have food catered in for the party. We recommended JPO Concepts (www.jpoconcepts.com). Please contact Helah at (201) 674-0326. You may also bring your own food. Heating devices such as heating fuels and hotplates are not permitted. Parents usually bring (or have delivered) all the adult drinks such as water and sodas. Wine and champagne are the only alcoholic beverages permitted. We discourage adults from serving any hot drinks that may cause burns if spilled.

  • Balloons are an option, although CMOM does not include them within the birthday package. We refer you to Cardeology at 212-873-2491. You may call them directly to place your order. Please also confirm with the Events Manager so that CMOM can coordinate delivery of the balloons.

  • CMOM provides invitations. You fill out the back, add a stamp and mail them to your guests.

  • You and your guests are welcome to explore CMOM’s exhibits all day on the day of your party. A list of your guests' names will be at both Museum entrances. However, you may want to suggest to your guests that they not arrive more than one hour prior to your party, as the children would be tired by the time your party begins.
