Summer Day Camp Visits
Duration: 90 minutes
Cost: $160.00 per group of 25 children
Availability: Monday – Friday 10:30am – 12pm; Monday & Wednesday 1 – 2:30pm
New! Global Geometry (Recommended Ages 5 – 10)
Students are transported across the globe as they uncover the beauty and diversity of Muslim arts and culture through architecture and design in our newest exhibition America to Zanzibar: Muslim Cultures Near and Far. As they venture through a Persian-style courtyard, an interactive and immersive Mosque, and an international marketplace, students will investigate complex geometric compositions and relationships between two- and three-dimensional forms. Students will apply their learning during the accompanying art workshop, creating their very own patterned plate using colorful shapes and bold prints.
New! From Trees to Tap (Recommended Ages 4 – 7)
Where does our water come from? On this guided group visit, students go on the dynamic journey NYC’s water takes from our skies, to our rivers and lakes, through the Catskills, and finally to our homes in our newest exhibition Dynamic H2O! Along the way students will learn fun facts about the unique properties of water, why water is essential to all living things, and how NYC’s taps produce some of the best drinking water in the nation.
Neighborhood Explorers (Recommended for Ages 3 – 7)
Explore two of CMOM's neighborhoods, PlayWorksTM and Adventures with Dora & Diego! In our PlayWorksTM exhibition children drive a fire truck, work together to move building materials and feed Alphie, the talking dragon. Then visit Dora's neighborhood and discover what it means to be a community as campers help Tico fix his car, nurse animals back to health in Diego’s Animal Rescue center and prepare a healthy, imaginary treat for Dora's birthday fiesta in our Adventures with Dora and Diego exhibition.
