Parent/Child Early Childhood Classes - Get Ready for Preschool Together!
Our classes are structured  with the proven benefits of learning through play in mind. With each class teachers facilitate both child driven play as well as group activities. During child driven play, children explore art, math and science concepts with sensory based projects. In the interactive classroom they work both independently and together to find creative opportunities to build math skills, social skills, fine motor coordination, number, letter and shape recognition as well as, body awareness and confidence. During the group activity of Circle Time, children build listening and language skills with story time. They further develop language, sensory awareness, and social skills in Circle Time with music, instruments and sensory box exploration.  All classes include a snack.

As part of CMOM's health initiative, classes include activities developed with experts from the National Institutes of Health. This new, federally approved NIH/CMOM early chilld curriculum Eat Play GrowTM  will introduce you and your child to fun strategies and activities that incorporate healthy choices into your everyday family routine! (In addition, all parents will receive specially designed activity handouts that they can use at home with their child)

CMOM’s Spring 2012 Benefit was a resounding success.

With 350 friends and supporters gathered together—and over $800,000 raised to support CMOM’s vital community outreach program—we could not have imagined a more inspired and heartfelt celebration of our commitment to families, the arts, health and education.. This outpouring of generosity and excitement also resulted in $66,000 raised that evening to provide FREE access to the Museum's educational exhibits for 6,500 Head Start families. This was a great start towards our goal of raising funds to serve 20,000 Head Start families in 2012.
