Wizard of Oz Drop-in Programs

Muchkin Club
Every Thursday, 10am & 1pm | 4 & younger
Kids create a different The Wizard of Oz themed project every week!

The Wizard of Oz: Make a Mini Emerald City Sculpture
Monday – Wednesday, March 21 – 23  |  all ages
10am – 12:30pm
1:30pm – 4:00pm
Create a sculpture of the sparkling Emerald City with model magic, glitter and green textured materials.

The Wizard of Oz: Dreams Really Do Come True!
Thursday – Sunday, February 24 – 27
11am, 12, 2, 3 & 4pm | 5 & older
Decorate a sash with badges of courage, love and wisdom – all essential qualities you have within you – to make your dreams come true.

The Wizard of Oz: Winged Monkey Puppets
Saturday, March 12
12, 2, 3, & 4pm | 5 & older
Be inspired by the fantastical winged monkeys in The Wizard of Oz movie and make a monkey puppet with flapping wings.

The Wizard of Oz: Cowardly Lion Mask
Saturday, March 19
12, 2, 3, & 4pm | 5 & older
Use raffia, fabric and markers to create a Cowardly Lion mask.

The Wizard of Oz: Dreams Really Do Come True!
Saturday, April 2
12, 2, 3 & 4pm | 5 & older

The Wizard of Oz: Munchkin Land Diorama
Monday – Tuesday, April 18 – 19 and 25 – 26
11am, 12, 2, 3 & 4pm | 5 & older
Be inspired by the magical world of Munchkin Land from The Wizard of Oz and create your own with cardboard, model magic and colorful collage materials.

Wizard Birthday Party
Follow the Yellow Brick Road with Dorothy, Toto and all their friends for a birthday celebration like no other!

Ages 4 & older
$925 for 12 children (30 maximum) – Friend and Supporter members receive a 5% discount
90-minute party available
Tuesday – Sunday, 5 – 6:30pm only

Use animal stamps and colorful ink to create a wild picture.  
Kindergarten Readiness Skills: developing color and shape recognition, process of creations and skills needed for writing.

Clean-Up Together, 11:15am

Have fun helping CMOM Educators clean up the PlayWorks™ Lab using music and
brooms!
Kindergarten Readiness Skills: Developing listening and social skills, learning to transition from one activity to the next.

PlayWorks™ Circle Time, 11:30am

Sing, move your body and use your listening ears to hear special stories.

Learn about how wild wolves live and why they are important to our world. Make a wild wolf puppet with moveable legs.

Presentation: The Truth about Wild Wolves: The Atka Traveling Ambassador Wolf, 2:00pm

The program will include an awe-inspiring, up-close encounter with this important but misunderstood predator. Families will learn about the history of wolves in the United States, the importance of wolves in a healthy ecosystem, and the efforts to save these magnificent creatures for future generations.  Presented by the Wolf Conservation Center (WCC) in South Salem, NY
