Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
2011 Everyone clapped and stomped to the rhythms of the Harlem Gospel Choir. In workshops families pledged to make a difference with symbolic medals.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 
2010 Families at CMOM worked on the "Making a Difference Mosaic” in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy and the power of children to make a difference. Presidents’ Week Leadership
2010 Drawing inspiration from leaders both past and present, children learned what it takes to be a good leader and role model.

Memorial Day 
2011 Members of the Military raised citizen participation with military drills and Boot Camp.
2010 Showing appreciation for people serving in the military with visiting members of the armed services from the Navy, Marines and Coast Guard.

Independence Day
2010 To celebrate the American ideal of basic rights in the Declaration of Independence, families created an American Dream Quilt expressing what freedom means to them.

Thank you for making our 2010 Benefit, honoring Andy Ackerman’s 20 years as Executive Director of CMOM, a huge success! Because of your generosity, we were able to raise $1.2 million to support our exhibitions, programming and outreach into the community. Watch the video shown at our event!

Presentation: The Truth about Wild Wolves: The Atka Traveling Ambassador Wolf, 2:00pm

The program will include an awe-inspiring, up-close encounter with this important but misunderstood predator. Families will learn about the history of wolves in the United States, the importance of wolves in a healthy ecosystem, and the efforts to save these magnificent creatures for future generations.  Presented by the Wolf Conservation Center (WCC) in South Salem, NY
