Boogie Down Break Week

February 18-25, 2017
Celebrate dance, movement, and community all week long at the Children’s Museum. Dance together with new friends and family as you work together to create imaginary machines with your body, design new playground games, and take part in daily dance parties. Enjoy performances by the Thunderbird American Indian Dancers, Bollywood choreographer Minila Shah, and The Japanese Folk Dance Institute of NY, as well as workshops with Ballroom expert Arturo Perez and Broadway performer Angel Reed.

Many Tunes, One Melody

Muslim Arts Series
In collaboration with Musical Director Dan Kurfist, the Children’s Museum unites five musicians who collaborated on the enchanting musical touchscreen app for the exhibit America to Zanzibar: Muslim Cultures Near and Far. We welcome you to explore the cultural aspects of music and join us as we embark on a series of collaborative jam sessions in this evening performance series.
Funding for these programs was made possible by the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art.
