The Grinch’s Holiday Workshop

The Grinch’s Holiday Workshop

All Ages
October 20 – January 6, 2013

Join Cindy-Lou Who, the lovable dog Max and the “Mean One” himself, the Grinch, for a new interactive experience, The Grinch’s Holiday Workshop, inspired by Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

Step into The Grinch’s Holiday Workshop and walk right into the pages of Dr. Seuss’s classic holiday tale. With gallery walls wrapped in scenes from Dr. Seuss’s How The Grinch Stole Christmas!, CMOM pops with Who-holiday spirit.

Here's just a Who-hint at the fun we have in store at CMOM, starting October 20th:
•Steer Max, the Grinch’s unwitting “Rein-Dog” on our interactive sleigh all the way to Who-ville!
•Create Dr. Seuss “rhyming hats,” two-sided Grinch masks, and Seuss tree ornaments.
•Make your own wacky, Seussian words with Who-ville Mad Libs
•Gather around the Grinch’s whimsical, oversized reading chair for storytelling with CMOM staff and special guests who will read How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and other classic books by Dr. Seuss.

There's even more daily action-packed activities held in the Grinch’s workshop. See our calendar for the most up-to-date information!

The Grinch's Holiday Workshop is a great way to promote creativity, a love of reading and draw upon the lessons learned by the Grinch, and learn about the importance of generosity of spirit and goodwill during the holiday season.

Spread Joy!

This holiday season CMOM and Madison Square Garden Entertainment (MSGE) are teaming up with Dr. Seuss and The Grinch to promote the notion of service to others, the role of community and the importance of early childhood literacy.

Patrons who visit CMOM’s or attend the holiday production of Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical at The Theater at MSG from December 13 – 30 (use code CMOM when ordering tickets) are encouraged to bring an unused book to be donated to Garden of Dreams Foundation. Bins are strategically located at both venues for collection. All books will be donated to the Garden Of Dreams Foundation, which has created thousands of once-in-a-lifetime experiences that have brought joy and happiness to more than 215,000 children and their families, including those facing homelessness, extreme poverty, illness and foster care.

CMOM’s Spring 2012 Benefit was a resounding success.

With 350 friends and supporters gathered together—and over $800,000 raised to support CMOM’s vital community outreach program—we could not have imagined a more inspired and heartfelt celebration of our commitment to families, the arts, health and education.. This outpouring of generosity and excitement also resulted in $66,000 raised that evening to provide FREE access to the Museum's educational exhibits for 6,500 Head Start families. This was a great start towards our goal of raising funds to serve 20,000 Head Start families in 2012.

Please check back soon for 2013 event updates!
