Eat Sleep Play: Family Health Curriculum
In cooperation with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), CMOM adapted the We Can!™ curriculum, an obesity prevention program for children ages 8–13, and geared it toward younger audiences. This new early childhood curriculum focuses on establishing or improving nutritional and dietary habits, developing positive sleep routines and increasing physical activity. NIH and USDA are currently reviewing the curriculum to be the first federally approved early childhood obesity prevention curriculum. Once approved, the NIH will make the curriculum available for use in schools, children’s museums and communities throughout the country.
